HNC Interim Show, 2018
My first exhibition in Hortensia Gallery. For the term, I chose to study cats - especially my cats. I wanted to focus on their behaviours, expressions, body language and body features. I produced two pieces, which you can see in the photographs, and both resemble my cats. My attempt is to create similar actions that my cats do, such as looking out of the window. Then, I tried to make the cats react to the pieces. The reason why I did this is to manipulate the viewers and make them think that the pieces are 'real'. The pieces 'Paws' and 'By the Lake' was to create various strokes of monochromatic hues to make the fur look real enough to make the viewers touch.

In the end, I goal was to construct an interaction between the viewers and the pieces. This was to make them think that the pieces are real enough to 'see' and 'touch'.
